The festival hackathon looked for IT projects working on environmental problems: air pollution, waste collection and recycling, shortages of drinking water and anything else the region struggles with.

What the experts looked for

  • Projects that take on a real environmental problem
  • Work that is thought through, with a goal, a set of tasks and a plan to deliver it
  • Teams looking for partners and people who share the idea
1st place 20 million UZS
2nd place 15 million UZS

The prizes were awarded by the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The winning team also got the chance to build their idea together with Realsoft, the software company behind the festival as its general sponsor and main organiser.

What the festival set out to do

  • Promote environmental awareness through technology
  • Support tech initiatives with an ecological purpose
  • Bring the IT, science and sustainability communities into one place
