All-Hands 2025

More than 200 volunteers at the Tashkent State University of Economics

On 7 September the annual meeting brought together over 200 volunteers. The day was streamed on YouTube for everyone who could not travel, so the regional teams joined from across the country.

Travel was covered for more than ten of the most active volunteers from the regions, which is what turns a meeting in Tashkent into a meeting of the whole team.

For Akmaljon Murodov from Bukhara it was the first flight of his life, taken to get to All-Hands.

How the day went

  • Project presentations, from Demo Days to Girls in IT
  • A live coffee bar and a networking session
  • Games and quizzes through the day
  • Awards for the most active volunteers and for the winners of the LinkedIn contest

Thanks to the Tashkent State University of Economics for hosting the meeting.

All-Hands 2024

The meeting where the team passed 630 volunteers

The December meeting ran across two days, on 14 and 15 December. The teams went through the results of the year, set the goals for the next one, and gave awards to the people behind events, social media, video and photo, podcasts and more.

67% of volunteers are based in Tashkent
6.1% come from Samarkand, the second largest region in the team
18 is the average age across the volunteer team
8 volunteers named Azizbek, and as many named Sevinch
5.5 pairs of twins in the volunteer team
Young men and young women in the team
54% young men 46% young women

The community keeps working to bring more girls in and build a balanced, inclusive team.

Why the community keeps meeting

  • Bring the whole community together
  • Line the teams up on goals, vision and where things are going
  • Keep the internal culture and the motivation strong

People leave with new ideas and new contacts, and with the sense that together they are building something bigger than any single project.
